Check whether a slab is stolen

Every PSA, BGS and CGC slab has a certificate number printed on its label, which cannot be removed without breaking the slab. Enter it here before you buy.

The certificate number is on the label, top right: on this Blastoise PSA 7 from our vault it is 101439092. Try this number

From the police report to a vault that says no

  1. You report the certificates

Whoever was robbed lists the numbers, even hundreds pasted from a sheet, with the date, the city and the police report.

  2. We check the police report

Staff verify the report before publishing it, usually within one working day. An unverified report blocks nobody.

  3. Public, and blocked

The number shows here for anyone. If the slab reaches the SafeCards vault it is neither accepted nor returned to the sender: we report it to the police.

If a stolen slab reaches our vault

  • We check every incoming certificate against the registry before accepting the slab.
  • A reported slab is not accepted, listed or returned to whoever sent it: it stays held in the vault.
  • We report it to the police with the deposit's details (sender, shipment, arrival date) and hand it over to the authorities when they ask.
  • We tell whoever reported the theft, so they can follow the case with the authorities.

Were your slabs stolen?

Report the certificate numbers: once we have checked the police report we publish them here, and our vault refuses them at intake. It is free.

Report a theft

What we ask you for

  • Date and city of the theft
  • Number and office of the police report
  • The certificates, one per line: even 500 at once

We publish only the grader, certificate, card, date and city. Your name, the police report and the description stay private.
