The route of a slab
Three stops. Between the first and the last, the slab can change owner as often as you like without leaving the vault.
You send it to Verona
Create a deposit request with the cert numbers, print the label and ship us your slabs.
It stays in custody
We check the cert, photograph the slab front and back and insure it. From here you list it or buy others: when it sells, the owner changes and the slab stays where it is.

Request a withdrawal: you pay shipping and insurance and we send it to your address.
What we record for every slab
When a slab enters the vault we open its record. It's what buyers see, and it's the basis of your custody.
- Verified cert
- We check the number against the grader's registry: automatically for PSA, by hand for BGS and CGC.
- Intake photos
- Front and back, taken when the slab arrives. They're the photos buyers see.
- Insured value
- Every slab in custody is insured. You'll find its estimated value in your vault.
- Ownership history
- Every change of ownership is recorded and can't be altered.
- Payments
- They go through Stripe, straight to the seller. SafeCards holds no balances or wallets.
- Depositing
- 1% of the value we verify on arrival, minimum €5 per slab. Covers verification and intake photos.
- Custody
- Free for 12 months from deposit, and the 12 months start again with every sale. For slabs that sit longer: 1% a year of the verified value, minimum €6.
- Selling
- 5% of the sale price, minimum €1.50, deducted from what you receive.
- Buying
- The listing price plus a 3% service fee, minimum €1. It's the same whatever payment method you use.
- Withdrawing a slab
- Shipping plus €5, with shipping insurance if you want it. In person, at a fair or at a partner shop: €5.
